St. Nicolaus - my new pattern

Hello,
Advent time, the time of miracles and wishes, is slowly coming. One such a magical day is St. Nicholas' Day, which, according to the legend, saved lives of three poor sisters by his generosity. I have designed the pattern of St. Nicolas, carrying three apples, as a symbol of generosity and abundance for myself last year, but now I have found a courage to share it with you as well. Our village bears his name, and since we have beautiful pine forests and white winters in our region, my St. Nicolas walks through a snowy pine wood. I used 14ct aida hand-dayed  by me and I stitched using hand-colored embroidery threads from Nina (Vanilla, Pine, Valentine, Old Gold, Pigeon, Dark Chocolate).They got to the picture a unique colorful vintage tint of different shades. pomaly sa opäť blíži čas adventu, čas zázrakov a prianí. Jedným takým čarovným dňom je sviatok Sv.Mikuláša, ktorý podla legendy svojou štedrosťou zachránil život trom chudobným sestrám. Svätého Mikuláša nesúceho tri jabĺčka, ako symbol štedrosti a hojnosti som navrhla a vyšila pre seba ešte minulý rok, avšak teraz som sa rozhodla podeliť sa oň i s vami. Naša dedina nesie v názve jeho meno, a keďže máme v našom kraji nádherné borovicové lesy a biele zimy, kráča môj Mikuláš takýmto zasneženým borom. Vyšitý je na 14ct aide, ktorú som si sama zafarbila a použila som úžasné ručne farbené vyšívacie nite od Niny (odtieň Vanilla, Pine, Valentine, Old Gold, Pigeon, Dark Chocolate).Tými získal obrázok pre mňa jedinečný farebný vintage nádych rôznych odtieňov. Samozrejme je ku každému odtieňu navrhnutá alternatíva z farbenice DMC z vašich zásob:). Ak sa vám zapáči, v prípade záujmu o predlohu ma neváhajte kontaktovať emailom.

Summer memories pattern

This summer was very hot and very hectic, but I really enjoyed it this year. It was a very big deal for me, that my little boy is two and starts to by real game partner to his big sister. In July, we enjoyed really nice holiday in Italy together and this my "little pumpkins" inspired me to make some designs to remember me how lovely is to have a sibling for enjoing lots of seasonal activities together. There is lots of love in this patterns.  My first pattern is called Summer memories  and they will be next three for autumn, winter and spring too (coming soon).

Summer memories design on 28 count evenweave hand dayed by myself. 

Toto leto bolo tento rok po výnimočne teplé a hektické, ale skutočne som si h užila. O to viac, že sa z môjho malého chlapčeka stal pomaly skutočný parťàk jeho staršej sestre. Strávili sme krásnu rodinnú dovolenku v Taliansku a práve deti ma inšpirovali k vytvorenie výšiviek, ktoré by mi pripomínali aké je úžasné užívať si spolu všetku zábavu počas každého ročného obdobia. Preto sú tieto predlohy robené s láskou. Prvá predlohy sa volá Summer memories a postupne budem pridávať ďalšie tri pre ďaľšie ročné obdobia. Predlohy sú pre vás zadarmo na stiahnutie (pre súkromné použitie), pokojne si ich môžte prispôsobiť, aby sa pre vás hodili. Veľmi rada sa pozriem na vaše výsledky, keď mi napíšete.

Tropical summer

Hi,
Summer already started and it should be really tropical this year in our country. So is my last cross stitched finish, "Tropical flamingo" by Shannon Wassilief -Shannon Christine Designs. It is stitched on 28 count evenweawe and hand dayd by Annie Sloan chalk paint colour Provence.
Love this beautiful coctail of colours!

Leto už je v plnom prúde a v tomto roku ho máme mať u nás dokonca až tropické. V tomto duchu je aj môj naposledy dokončený projekt - tropický plameniak. Predloha Tropical flamingo od Shannon Wassilief - Shannon Christine Designs. Vyšívala som na panamu, ktorú som si zafarbila s Annie Sloan kriedovým farbami, odtieň Provance. Krásny kokteil farieb!

Hello spring, welkome!

Hello spring!
My dears, I hope that everyone enjoyed all the beuties of  Lady Winter and now we finaly ready to say hi to Lady Spring!
I had saw a flock of wild geese returning from the warm climates yesterday. They happily gay in the sky what the nature already knows, spring is definitly here! Let´s enjoy fresh spring air and first sunshine than. I can't wait for all the blooming tulips, crocuses, daffodils and hyacinths. Spring have arrived into our house as well, so I have started with some spring decorations. Here are some of my spring cross stitched finishes.

Pattern is one of  Durene Jones freebie, called "Bunny and daffodil". Stitched on 28 count evenweave, hand dayed by my little daughter. She painted it by wattercolours and it was our first cross stitchet project together last year:) Love it!

Haló, Jar! Moji drahí, dúfam, že Pani Zimu sme si užili všetci do sýtosti a konečne sme pripravení privítať pani Jar!Včera som videla kŕdeľ divých husí, ako sa vracajú z teplých krajov a veselo si gágajú na oblohe, čo je pre mňa znamením toho, že príroda to už vie, jar je definitívne tu! Užime si prvé jarné slniečko a nech vám voňavý vánok prinesie pravé jarné prebudenie. Ja sa už neviem dočkať všetkých tých kvitnúcich tulipánov, krokusov, narcisov a hyacintov! Toľko nádherných farieb okolo!
U nás doma sa tiež už zjarieva a tak som začala s prvými jarnými dekoráciami. Tu je pár mojich vyšívaných jarných.

Last minute Christmas freebie

Hi my dear, Cristmas is a givng time, so I have for you one quick christmas tree pattern. You still can make last minute christmas decoration, when is needed. Feel free to change the coulours as you like and you can send me a picture of your stitching, I would love to see.

Ahojte, Vianoce sú obdobím obdarúvania a tak mám pre vás jednu rýchlu predlohu vianočného stromčeka. Ak potrebujete, stále ešte stihnete vyrobiť dáku vianočnú dekoráciu. Pokojne si zmeňte farby podľa seba a budm veľmi rada, ak mi pošlete výsledok. 

Little Christmas cushions

I did it just in time! I have finished my little Christmas cushions (with the little help of one very nice lady who helped me with sewing on the machine:)). They all are for my family as a Christmas presents. Part of my hand made Christmas this year.  Hope you like them too. The patterns are all freebies by Durene Jones and stitch on a fabric called panama (kind of  25 count evenweave made in Slovakia and Czech).

Tak som to stihla práve včas! Konečne som dokončila malé vianočné vankúšiky (s pomocou jednej veľmi milej pani, ktorá mi pomohla so šitím na stroji :)) pre mojich najbližších. Časť mojich hand-made Vianoc. Dúfam, že sa vám páčia tiež tak ako mne. 

Všetky predlohy sú bezplatné od Durene Jones a sú vyšité sú na bielej a modrej paname.

Mini christmas tree decoration

Today is the second advent Sunday, the most beautiful holiday of the year behind the door. For me, Christmas always smells by needles and gingerbread. Gingerbread have already been baked, but the Christmas tree we don`t usually decorate until Christmas Eve. And since there is still some time left to decorate the tree, I have made a small needle-bearing tree as a scented decoration so far. We regularly cut the spruce in the garden, so I have used the cut twigs.

Dnes je druhá advenná nedeľa, najkrajšie sviatky v roku za dverami. Pre mňa Vianoce vždy voňali ihličím a medovníkmi.  Medovníky už sme napiekli, no stromček zvykneme ozdobovať až na Štedrý deň. A keďže do ozdobovania stromčeka ešte nejaký ten čas chýba, urobila som si zatiaľ malý ihličnatý stromček ako voňavú dekoráciu. Pravidelne prestrihávame smreky v záhrade, tak som využila odstrihnuté halúzky s ihličím.

To make this tree decoration is simple, we need:
- flower pot filled with gravel
- a thicker stick, according to the height of the tree, I found my one on a walk by the stream
- needles (fir or spruce would be ideal)
- a wire
- a pair of pliers

Výroba stromčeka je jednoduchá, potrebujeme:

- kvetináč naplnený štrkom

- hrubšiu palicu, dlžka tak akurát, podľa toho aký vysoký bude stromček, ja som tú svoju našla na prechádzke pri potoku

- ihličie (ideálna je jedľa alebo smrek)

- drôt

- kliešte

Put the stick to the middle of the flower pot with the gravel to the bottom to be stable. The stick will form a tree trunk. A needle is attached to the trunk around the trunk by the wire. It should be attached equally round and downwards. Bottom shoots should be just above the top of the flower pot. Then gradually add the other needles again a little higher and shape the crown of the tree. We continue as we like, density and height is up to you :)

Do stredu kvetináča so štrkom strčíme palicu až po dno, aby bola stabilná. Palica bude tvoriť kmeň stromu. Okolo kmeňa potom pomocou drôtu pripevníme ihličie. Treba ho pripevniť rovnomerne dookola a aby bolo výhonkami na dol. Spodné výhonky by mali byť tesne nad horným okrajom kvetináča. Potom postupne prikladáme dalšie ihličie zase o trochu vyššie a tvarujeme korunu stromu. Pokračujeme ako sa nám páči, hustota a výška je na vás :)

 Gradually, you can also twist the twigs to a shape - like a Troll's hat. I decided for a classic shape. I put it in a clay pot, decorated it, and it would smell until we decorated the real Christmas tree.It also looks nice outdoors in front of the door, embellished only by the pineapple and when the stones at the pike are sprinkled by the moss, you can bring a little forest to your home as well.

Postupne môžete halúzky s ihličím aj zatočiť a vytvarovať zo stromčeka trebárs aj troliu čiapku :). Ja som sa rozhodla pre klasický tvar. Dala som ho do hlineného kvetináča, ozdobila a bude mi voňať kým ozdobíme ozajstný. 

Pekne vyzerá aj vonku pri dverách, ozdobený len šiškami a keď sa kamienky pri pníku prykrijú machom, môžte si priniesť trochu lesa aj k vám domov.
